Here at Littlethorpe of Leicester, we believe that covered walkways and canopies are an essential part of any building for keeping visitors, staff and goods safe and dry when transitioning between buildings and vehicles. They are the ideal solution for covering paths and linking buildings together and act as protection against all weathers. Our friendly and helpful team have over 30 years’ experience and will manage your project from start to finish from the initial consultation through to the installation.
Our Walkway Canopies are completely unique to suit every building and meet organisation requirements. Whether you are looking for a fixed wall canopy or a free-standing canopy, we can help! Every building is different, which is why we design bespoke both large walkway covers and small entrance covers.
We cater to everyone here at Littlethorpe of Leicester, so no matter what your budget we offer a range of protective structures at different costs. We have worked with many different clients over the years providing walkways for both commercial and domestic properties.
Covered walkways give excellent protection against any and all weathers, which is extremely handy with the unreliable Great British weather. Our strong and sturdy structures will protect you, staff members, pupils, visitors and goods from:
- Intense Sun UV Rays
- Torrential Rain
- Strong Winds
- Snow and Ice
Walking from building A to building B can become annoying when you know you’re not going to be unscathed by the weather. Unfortunately, you can’t choose the weather, but with our walkway canopy range, you can avoid it.
Covered Walkways for Schools
As the rise in the number of pupils’ increases, bigger schools are being built and temporary buildings added to existing school buildings creating a multi-building approach. This means that moving from classroom to classroom turns into moving from building to building. The solution is School Walkway Covers.
Hospital Walkway Canopies
Hospital Walkway Canopies are now essential to keep patients, staff and visitors safe and dry. They can also create a simpler map route to follow, making it easier to get from building to building. Patient transfers, movement of professionals, keeping the paths clear of puddles and ice are all important around healthcare establishments, with safety being a priority.
Choosing the right Walkway Canopy:

Roof Style and Drain – What roof style would you like? What drainage system would suit your building?
Planning Permission – Is Planning Permission needed?
Costing – What’s your budget?
Health and Safety – Will you need extras such as ‘leg’ pads to protect young children?
