Littlethorpe Bus Shelters
Kilworth wooden shelter
A "walk through" style of shelter, typically straddles the whole pavement width.
The double access and large roof covering makes it suitable for school bus collection points (it is difficult to trap some one inside this style of enclosed shelter).
Vision panels at each end enables seated bus passengers to see the bus coming and gives greater vision into and out of the shelter from both directions. Glazing on the front and rear walls allows the possibility of seeing "through" the shelter from a distance (across the street) thus adding to personal security.
The openings are 1.200mm wide. A bench seat runs along the rear wall. Any area of glazing can be swapped for solid boarding and vice versa.
