Our bus shelters are of sound construction and have been designed in conjunction with the  local County Council to be as vandal proof as possible.

At the same time, they are very suitable for conservation areas and are invariably   modified to meet customers requirements.

Semi-cantilever  Eaton shelter

Most shelters are made from hardwood that has class A1 fire resistance and which is more durable than oak, but they can be made of English Oak to meet customer requirements.

Our 4 seat cantilever shelters were designed specifically for rural parishes and can be supplied with either laminated glass, a solid planking above the waist rail, or a combination of both to suit.

For extra protection, roofs and facia are covered with galvanised steel sheeting which has a plastic coating bonded to it. 

On the right is one of our more recent designs which has no seating provided. 

Sturdy cast iron brackets replace the normal sides in order to support the roof weight - and any other weight which might be added to it normal service!

On the otherhand, the Rettendon on the left shows a deeper style of complete shelter and is a later design of shelter with split glazing each side instead of the previous single pane. Seating has been provided in the example.

On the right, our largest single pitched shelter has a seat running the full length of the back wall. The vertical planking is 45mm thick and the legs are set into the ground half a metre.

This type of shelter has been well received by both customers and the public because it is perceived to be a quality item. It also attracts less vandalism than would be normally be expected and has low maintenance costs.
